Baseball advances to GLIAC title game

The Wayne State baseball team (33-18 overall) failed to secure its place in the 2012 GLIAC tournament championship game with a 6-4 loss to the Grand Valley Lakers (40-13 overall), but had another chance to advance to the title game later that day, and did, with a 13-6 victory over the Saginaw Valley Cardinals (26-26 overall) on May 11. Warriors defeat Storm, 6-1, in GLIAC tournament

On the second day of GLIAC tournament play, the Wayne State baseball team (32-17 overall) defeated the Lake Erie College Storm (27-25 overall) by a score of 6-1 on May 10 and are now one win away from securing its place in the championship game. MAY 11

Warriors sweep storm on Senior Day

The Wayne State baseball team swept Lake Erie College in its final regular season games May 5 in Detroit on Senior Day, beating the Storm 5-4 in the opener and 12-11 in the series finale. MAY 7
