Baseball advances to GLIAC title game
The Wayne State baseball team (33-18 overall) failed to secure its place in the 2012 GLIAC tournament championship game with a 6-4 loss to the Grand Valley Lakers (40-13 overall), but had another chance to advance to the title game later that day, and did, with a 13-6 victory over the Saginaw Valley Cardinals (26-26 overall) on May 11.
Warriors defeat Storm, 6-1, in GLIAC tournament
On the second day of GLIAC tournament play, the Wayne State baseball team (32-17 overall) defeated the Lake Erie College Storm (27-25 overall) by a score of 6-1 on May 10 and are now one win away from securing its place in the championship game.

Baseball falls to GVSU in GLIAC tournament finale

On the final day of the 2012 GLIAC tournament, the Wayne State baseball team (34-19) met with the Grand Valley State Lakers (41-14) to play for the tournament championship on May 12.

The Wayne State baseball team (31-7 overall) defeated the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals (24-25 overall), 4-2, in its opening game of the 2012 GLIAC tournament at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Warriors sweep storm on Senior Day
The Wayne State baseball team swept Lake Erie College in its final regular season games May 5 in Detroit on Senior Day, beating the Storm 5-4 in the opener and 12-11 in the series finale.
